Bucks: Attending Community College to Save Money

In this weekend’s Your Money column, I offer up advice to students and parents who are using community college as a deliberate, money-saving strategy.

There are a number of ways things can go awry and cause your undergraduate journey to last longer than four years. These include not picking the right classes, not taking advantage of advising services that can help smooth the path and not preparing well enough academically to handle the academic load after transferring to a four-year college or university.
